The short version

Your pictures never leave your device. They are opened, mirrored and saved by code running in your browser, and are never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no accounts, so we hold no profile about you.

Who we are

Image Mirror (imagemirror.app) is operated by ITERO LTD, which is the data controller for the little personal data described below. Contact: support@imagemirror.app.

Your pictures

When you add a picture, the page reads the file into your browser's memory, draws it on a canvas and creates the mirrored file there. The download link points to your own device's memory. No request to our server or to any third party contains your picture, its name or its contents, and nothing about it is logged.

The saved file is newly encoded, so it does not carry over the original's metadata (such as camera details or GPS location). When you close or reload the page, the pictures are gone from memory.

Service providers

These providers process limited data on our behalf to run the website:

  • Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host it receives standard request data (IP address, browser type, the page requested) when you load a page.
  • Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
  • Google Analytics measures visits; it never receives your pictures. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it sets analytics cookies only after you allow them. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Events record only counts, file formats and the chosen transform.

Cookies

The tool uses no cookies. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask before setting analytics cookies, and declining works the same as allowing. Elsewhere analytics cookies are on by default; Cookie settings at the bottom of every page turns them off. A language preference cookie may be set if you change the site language.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and US state privacy laws you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because we never receive your pictures and keep no accounts, there is usually nothing to access or delete. For any request, email support@imagemirror.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
